Things are happening in my life, my career, my world. And they are happening without my conscious being involved.
Confidence.
Getting huge. I am looking forward to challenges, I am not frightened of the phone anymore. All of a sudden, I am finding it so much easier to call people and talk about opportunities.
Skills:
Realisation that skills are something that can be aquired, I just need to practise. I have been putting an hour a day into aquisition of sales skills. The process is slower than I would like, however I am moving forward and I know I will get better with time.
Og Mandino Scroll III is all about persistence. being tenacious, taking one step at a time, going forward regardless of the difficuulties involvbed.
I love the following :
“If I persist, if I continue to charge forward, I succeed.”
When all else is said and done. Why are we in Sales?
We are not in sales, we are in wellness
We are not sales people we help people make life choices
We are not sales people we just tell people about products.
Thats all rubbish
We are in sales.
That is probably why a sizable proportion of this course involves developing sales skills.
And the most useful book I have ever studied is “The Greatest Salesman in the World”
This month I am learning that if I persist I WILL SUCCEED. Guess what? I believe this.
I am totally filled with passion about this. There is nothing (within scientific possibility) that you cannot accomplish if you persist.
We are on a journey and the path that lies ahear is not clear…….. I know that if I just take one more step …….. and then another…….. then another ……. then another I SUCCEED in reaching the destination.
I need skills to make sales.
I need to study and practice.
An actor does not walk on stage without learning his lines. A soldier is not put into battle without learning to use a weapon.
I have learned that if you try and sell a product without understanding some basics of sales then you are going to get creamed. Sure you can be a professional endorser, and I am sure people will get involved with the product based on the endorsements you give, but will you miss opportunities for the people that your lack of skills are unable to bring on board. More importantly did you lose a sale and the person really needed the product or service? Part of this masterkey course involves learning new skills . This journey is teaching me lots of new skills and giving me new courage to practice what I am learning.
We are halfway through the course – Wow I don’t know what the next few weeks will bring but whatever it is I am sure it will be valuable. I can’t wait.
